I am delighted to invite you to the Annual Conference of the British Educational
Leadership, Management and Administration Society, which will take place for the
first time in the summer, moving from its traditional autumn slot. Please put
the new date in your diary.
BELMAS Annual Conferences have a reputation for being informative, stimulating
and convivial occasions which offer much to practitioners and academics alike.
We extend a very warm invitation both to regular attendees and those who may be
considering attendance for the first time. Do bring a friend! Speakers already
confirmed include:
Rosemary Campbell Stephens – is a well-respected consultant trainer and national
and international keynote speaker on issues of diversity, equality, inclusion
and culturally literate leadership. She was the headteacher of a West Midlands
secondary school, and now works with the Institute of Education – University of
London on a ground breaking leadership programme for aspiring Black and minority
senior managers in London secondary schools which she developed.
Tim Goddard - Professor and Vice-Provost (International) at Calgary University,
Alberta, Canada. He has extensive experience in several countries as a
university professor, an educational consultant, a superintendent of education,
a principal and a teacher, having worked in England, Papua New Guinea, with the
Dene, Cree and Inuit peoples of northern Canada , Kosovo, the Lebanon, and
Slovenia
Other speakers and panellists will be announced shortly. Full details of all the
Conference arrangements will be available on the Society website (www.belmas.org.uk)
shortly. We hope very much you will be able to join us this year. Please do
